Onyfix® Nail Correction System
A Pain-Free, Non-Invasive Solution for Ingrown, Pincer & Involuted Nails
The Onyfix® nail correction system is a revolutionary, non-surgical treatment developed in Germany for managing a variety of common and often painful toenail conditions—such as ingrown, pincer, and involuted nails. Unlike traditional approaches that involve cutting or invasive procedures, Onyfix® works completely pain-free and without the need for anaesthetic, making it a comfortable and effective option for many individuals.
What is Onyfix®?
Onyfix® is a composite-based system that uses a specially formulated material, which is applied to the surface of the nail in its natural growth zone—usually at the widest point. Once applied and light-cured, the composite hardens and acts as a gentle brace. As the nail continues to grow, the Onyfix® strip holds it in the correct position, gradually guiding it back into a healthier, more natural shape.
This process is entirely passive, meaning there is no tension or force applied to the nail or surrounding skin, and the application itself is quick, non-invasive, and painless.
Conditions Treated with Onyfix®:
-
Ingrown toenails (early to moderate cases)
-
Pincer nails (excessively curved nails)
-
Involuted nails (curved but not embedded)
-
Nails prone to recurring discomfort due to shape
-
Post-surgical nail correction or support

What to Expect from Treatment
The Onyfix® process typically begins with a full foot health assessment, including a detailed look at the affected nail(s). Once suitability is confirmed, the nail surface is cleaned and prepared. The composite is then applied across the nail and cured using a UV light. The strip stays on the nail for several months, allowing the nail to grow out in a corrected shape.
Depending on nail thickness, curvature, and growth rate, follow-up appointments may be recommended. In some cases, multiple Onyfix® applications may be used to maintain or further correct the nail’s shape over time.
Is Onyfix® Permanent?
The goal of Onyfix® is to train the nail to grow in the correct direction and shape. In many cases, once the nail has grown out fully while supported by Onyfix®, the improvement is long-lasting. However, as with all treatments, outcomes vary depending on the individual's nail condition, medical history, and nail care habits.
